Sailing along the northern coast of Palermo and the natural reserves of Monte Pellegrino and Capo Gallo will give you unforgettable days away from the chaos of the city and will allow you to observe often unknown places in Palermo. Along the way, it will be possible to admire the cliffs on the sea with several karstic caves and the typical Mediterranean vegetation, the system of Saracen watchtowers and the seaside villages with their “tonnare” (=traps for tuna).

During the tour, you can also admire the marine habitats of the reserves making guided snorkeling in the gulf of Mondello and into “Grotta dell’Olio” at Barcarello; the cave is only accessible by sea.

You will be guided to the selected sites and will observe ecosystems protected by the European Union and of biological interest, such as vermetid reef and the prairie of posidonia oceanica.

From the first few centimeters up to a few meters underwater, you can see numerous animal and vegetable organisms that populate the rocky and sandy seabed of the coast of Palermo, allowing you to appreciate the vast biodiversity typical of the marine areas protected.

During a swim in the water, you will appreciate all the shades of blue that the beautiful seabed of this area proposes. In this tour, you will be transported through nature, history, culture, folklore and curiosity of the territory of Palermo.

The boat “Maria” is ready to give you unforgettable days along the coasts often unknown and not adequately valued in Palermo and its province. We will be well prepared to explain the particularities of the coast that you will visit and especially the beautiful seabed near Monte Pellegrino and the Marine Protected Area of Capo Gallo and Isola delle Femmine with its important and valuable habitats.
